Gateway to the southern Grampians, Dunkeld Caravan Park is the ideal base for wildlife watchers, outdoor adventurers and history buffs. Ideally located at the foothills of the Grampians National Park, a series of rugged sandstone mountain ranges and forests rich with wildlife and home to significant Aboriginal rock art sites.
The stunning twin peaks of Mount Sturgeon and Mount Abrupt provide a glorious backdrop for Dunkeld, and inspiration for much of the local artists. Wander through the galleries and museum or be tempted by fine food with a delicious meal at the award-winning Royal Mail Hotel.
If you're feeling fit and energetic, take on a challenging but rewarding walk to the summit of Mount Sturgeon or Mount Abrupt for panoramic views of the surrounding national park and volcanic plains. Both walks take around three hours return, require good levels of fitness and suitable walking attire, and promise camera worthy rewards.
The Dunkeld Public Lands Committee is proud to announce that the Dunkeld Caravan Park has won the BEST REGIONAL BUSINESS in the Telstra / Southern Grampians Shire Council Small Business Awards.
The Dunkeld Caravan Park is a community owned Caravan Park, hosting in excess to 3500 tourists annually, and providing a large economic boost to the township.
